Marriage requires compromise

Any marriage counselor will tell you that compromise is essential to a happy and lasting marriage.

When two people come together, they bring with them their own unique set of values, beliefs, and habits. In order for a marriage to work, each partner needs to be willing to meet the other halfway.

Studies have shown that the happiest marriages are those in which both partners are willing to give and take.

That means making some compromises on the things that are important to you. It might mean giving up your dream of living in the city, or agreeing to start a family sooner than you had planned.

Whatever the case may be, compromise is an essential part of marriage. Without it, a marriage quickly becomes strained and unhappy.

Remember that compromise will be key to your success as a married couple.
